Welcome to this month’s FREETOGO blog post.
Here is my list of this month's recommended videos.
1. First, let’s look at the Locations - Antarctica category found on the
Travel Now webpage. The video I recommend is:
“My Solo Trip to Antarctica by Allison Anderson [timestamps] 00:00 The Magic of Antarctica 00:51 Drake Passage & Albatross 02:12 Arriving in Antarctica 02:49 Penguins and BABIES 04:50 Protecting the Environment 05:46 Whale Magic 07:08 Submarine Experience 07:52 Kayaking Among Icebergs 08:20 Port Lockroy 09:04 Lemaire Channel 09:46 About the Ship 11:00 Sailing into an ACTIVE VOLCANO 11:51 Return to Ushuaia 12:21 A Reminder.”
2. Next, enjoy watching a special video in the Rick Steves' Europe category. The video I recommend is:
“Join Rick Steves for a colorful, musical celebration of Christmas across Europe. From England to Wales, France, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, you'll see the bright Christmas markets, hear local choirs, share holiday traditions with families…and even play in the snow.”
3. Lastly, get a kick out of the next recommended video found in the Wanderlust Travel Videos category. The video is titled:
“Skiing in the Ski area La Plagne, Les Arcs on Mont Blanc Slope at 2050m to Mont Chavin 1000m. This is the longest ski run (6.5km) in the La Plagne resort, recorded in first person. La Plagne is a French ski area in the alpine valley of the Tarentaise (Savoie). Since 2003, La Plagne and the neighbouring resort of Les Arcs form Paradiski's ski area. It is currently owned by Compagnie des Alpes. La Plagne lies at altitudes between 3,250 metres (10,660 ft) (on the Glacier de la Chiaupe near the top of Bellecôte) and 1,250 m (4,100 ft). La Plagne has 100 km2 (39 sq mi) of ski area spread across four communes (Aime, Bellentre, Champagny-en-Vanoise and Mâcot-la-Plagne). A bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track was built in La Plagne for the 1992 Winter Olympics held in nearby Albertville. La Plagne is the most popular ski resort in the world with more than 2.5 million visitors a season on average.”

They are free to watch but some have ads. Yet, you can skip them after a few seconds or, if you wish, eliminate the ads by paying to become a premium member of YouTube.
