Welcome to this month’s FREETOGO blog post.

UPDATE!

I.                As you will see when accessing FREETOGO, I have reverted back to one Travel Now page.    Why did I do this? Three reasons: 1) YouTube has settled down on its unpredictable ad efforts, 2) If a video has any ads, they are skippable within a few seconds or are extremely short, 3) It is easier for everyone, including me, to manage having only one Travel Now page.

II.              The Travel Now page has another section called Pausing from Sightseeing.

This section has videos to watch when you want something more than sightseeing-in-place. For now, there are three categories, Explaining the History of the Earth and Mankind, Lost to the World, and Outer Space.

Let’s move on to this month's recommended videos.

1.    First, let’s look at the Topics – Man-made Attractions category found on the

Travel Now webpage. The video I recommend is:

“What's the tallest building in the world? The answer is a little more complicated than you might think. It then goes on to list some of the tallest buildings that are either under construction or planned.

Here is the list:

-Burj Khalifa

-Jeddah Tower (2020)

-Merdeka PNB 118

-Shanghai Tower

-Abraj Al Bait

-Ping-An Finance Center

-Goldin Finance 117

-Lotte World Tower

-One World Trade Center

-Guangzhou CTF Finance Center

-X-Seed 4000

-Tokyo Babel Tower.”

2.    Next, enjoy watching a special video in the Topics – More UNESCO sites. The video I recommend is:

“This Panoramic video through Open Carriage of Bernina Express Train shows Highlights of the route from Davos Platz (Swiss) to Tirano (Italy). Watch and Enjoy Pristine Swiss Landscapes. Bernina Express: Crossing 196 bridges, the highest railway in the Swiss Alps climbs up to the 2253m to the glistening Glaciers (Alp Grüm Palü, Morteratsch Glacier and Ospizio Bernina region) before descending to the palms of Italy far below. .......from Mountains to Glaciers to Lakes and Palms!”.

3.    Lastly, get a kick out of the next recommended video found in the Topics – Cultures category. The video is titled:

“From the loud slurping of noodles in Japan to the head-touching taboo in Thailand, Each of these customs and traditions offers a glimpse into the rich tapestry of the human experience. We hope you enjoy this journey with us and that it inspires you to learn more about the fantastic diversity of our world.”

Note: FREETOGO is entirely free. Also, there are no ads on the site to interrupt your visit. However, that is not true for many videos because YouTube hosts them. They are free to watch but have ads. Yet, if you wish, you can eliminate the ads by paying to become a premium member of YouTube.

I invite you to check out the above videos and the many others curated for this website.

Also, see all the many ways people use FREETOGO at the bottom of the Travel Now page.

Most importantly, please help improve everyone’s quality of life by sharing this website far and wide, especially with anyone unable to travel freely. Ask everyone to sign up as a member, leave a testimonial, and visit the website regularly!

Get creative and have some fun traveling virtually. I look forward to the day when the term Virtual Travel will be as commonplace as the term travel.

Thanks!
